Sounds like the clicking noise could be the overload on the compressor. pull off grill cover on bottom front of refrigerator check to see if condenser coil if blocked with lint and dust if it is clean it throughly it could cause the compressor to overheat and cause the refrigerator to thaw and the overlaod to make a clicking noise. hope this helps you out

If you hear a click every few minutes and a buzz / click then nothing, it would sound as if your compressor is gone, the water problem is the defrost drain pipe is blocked

A frosty freezer in the back panel is an indication of a defrost failure issue. Problem may lie in the the control board, heater or defrost terminator. The problem usually is a broken defrost element. Hope that helps :)

Have a whirlpool side by side american fridge freezer,,

If the fan in the freezer is working.
You can hear this fan running when you open the freezer. Then I think the noise you hear is the fan hitting an ice build up.

This is a failure of the defrost system.

My freezer's defrost systems runs constantly

i dont think so i would look at the compressor kicking out on thermal overload or a faulty thermostat thermostats have two settings cut in cut out your cut in could be bad and not turning the compressor on till the temp reaches melting temps now if your hearing a click buzz then you need to look at the compressor and make sure the compressor fan is running but its not a defrost promblem
