I don't know if that printer has a cleaning routine on it, or not. If it does (check your documentation) I'd do that first. If that fails to clear things up, you may want to try to clean the print cartridges by hand. If you still have a problem, you'll probably need to get some new cartridges.
Hope this helps answer your question.

Sorry to hear that. One other thought is that there may be some paper dust that is soaked with ink that is hanging down below where the cartridges are mounted. And I have seen paper dust that has collected on things that are mounted on the left frame or right frame cause smearing problems. Try to clean any areas in the printer that are close to the same level as the part of the print cartridges that has the ink nozzles. About the only thing that is left is to get a new cartridge and try that. Unfortunately, once in awhile new cartridges have problems.

Only prints in yellow color

The printer must be able print all colors in order to execute the alignment. Part of the alignment process involves scanning printed colored (all colors including yellow) bars. See the web page below for a sample of the printout. I suggest that you clean the carriage and cartridge electrical contacts with a cotton swab moistened with water. If you still fail to get yellow, test the cartridge in another printer. ping me for the make of printer, anyways if it an HP series refer to the website below

Blue horozontal lines running through picyure prints

Try taking out your two ink cartriges, put back in and on your computer it should come up with an option to align (follow the directions). If does not work, then injectors/lazers might be out of line them selves. At that point call the company of the printer and they can help you more.

I purchased a photo print cartridge 31 to replace my color cartridge in my printer. When I put it in it said 'right cartridge incorrect". My original color cartridge just says " color cartridge...

Could be that cartridge 31 is not compatible with your particular model. Please read the manual for a list of compatible cartridges. If it is compatible with your model, ensure that you have removed the backing plastic from the print head and fitted it properly into the slot.

When printing in color on 5150 Lexmark All In One, my color copies get horizontal lines in what ever I am copying.

Sounds like you need to clean the print heads.

Right click on your printer, and choose properties (I believe) and there should be an option in there somewhere that says clean print heads. Let that run and see what happens.
