I don't know if that printer has a cleaning routine on it, or not. If it does (check your documentation) I'd do that first. If that fails to clear things up, you may want to try to clean the print cartridges by hand. If you still have a problem, you'll probably need to get some new cartridges.

Sorry to hear that. One other thought is that there may be some paper dust that is soaked with ink that is hanging down below where the cartridges are mounted. And I have seen paper dust that has collected on things that are mounted on the left frame or right frame cause smearing problems. Try to clean any areas in the printer that are close to the same level as the part of the print cartridges that has the ink nozzles. About the only thing that is left is to get a new cartridge and try that. Unfortunately, once in awhile new cartridges have problems.

We did run the cleaning routine two times, replaced the cartridges, and hand cleaned it to the best of our ability...the darn thing still does it......
