if it just has scratches then spread toothpaste all around it dry then wash it off with water and dry it completely but if it has a perfect scratched circle then u gotta replace it cause if it has that circle it wont work anymore, thats why gamestop has a new deal for a few more dollars that if that circle happens they replace it for free
its called the circle of death. the biggest problem with xbox.
everytime the unit is moved or bumbed the discs get the circles.
suggestion is to always take out the games when done playing.
try not to move the unit with discs inside it.
Xbox DVD-Drive's often scratch circles into your discs and some even got malfunctioning lasers that will burn rings into games. To prevent the circular scratched from happening avoid moving your console at any time while it is running however it often also occurs just in regular use especially for older consoles with Hitachi or Samsung drives. As far as I know Microsoft replaces discs that were clearly damaged by a console free of charge, at least here in Europe they do. Try calling Xbox Customer Support and ask for a replacement it is worth a try for sure even if they shouldnt replace it they will at least give you a 1-month subscription for Xbox LIVE in exchange.
Its laser burn. I have had this. Ask your son if he has tipped the xbox 360 with a game in it as that can cause this. If not the tabs that hold the game in place are broken causing the disc to 'wobble'. If you get the bottom right quadrant illuminate red then contact me personally at: email@example.com
sounds like your dvd drive is having issues. try to do a online update. that may fix the non reading disc issue. as for it damaging that cd and only that cd i would just buy a new dvd drive. most of the time when a cd comes out damaged its due to a belt spindle. which is the part that spins your disc, but your saying its only doing it to 1 game. try a update if that dont work purchase a new dvd drive. make sure u get the correct one
If you move the console while the disk inside is running it will scratch the disk(it just happened to me) I used automotive cleaner wax and polished it from inside to out and then outside to in(not in circles) and it started working again, try it:)
