French door refrigerator selections?

We're shopping for a new fridge, not urgent, but want best we can afford. Like Friench door style, water/ice in door, Stainless steel all around, if possible. I don't see many good reviews for any brand! Help, best advise? My appreciation in advance.

Size is most important consideration, measuring your opening and and depth(very important), this may narrow your search automatically. furthermore, the Amana,Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid, Maytag, Jenn-Air, and most of the Kenmore's are all the same manufacture, so the difference on the box will be cosmetic for most part, they all have the same inner workings, the GE and LG are also Identical to each other, samsung is a relatively new brand (so not much i can say about it, other then in my area not a very good support/tech support for.Although im a big Whirlpool guy, there happen to be some issues with the refrigs, especially the fan motors, but thinking they are under control now. all compressor issues should also be taken care of , since they should all be produced in one plant with one consistent compressor installed in unit .and judging a machine for its ice maker(if its one of the consideraions) then its unfair because all refrigs regardless of model(top freezer, s/s, or bottom freezer )all have issues with ice makers.

Sounds like you have to have a leak in the water line somewhere. The water line goes to the top hinge in the door, so the water has to come from somewhere below that point or it would be collecting inside the door and leak out the front. A leak would prevent water from getting to the ice maker, or a leak at the valve could have this effect as well. Check the water valve that gets a call to send water to the ice maker.

Ice forms around fan and makes a loud humming noise

It's probablly caused by air leakage through the ice room fan electrical connection inside the freezer. Behind the back wall inside the freezer, the icd fan is the fan that blows air up to the in-door icemaker. The plug on that, into a molded plug on the back of the feezer compartment, is a red plastic part with three wires in it. Try filling in around the wires and the red plastic with a bit of silicone. (if you replace the ice room fan, the new plug comes with a rubber filler which seals this spot). (PS. Next time, avoid Sears)

Water is leaking out the bottom of my brand new Jenn Air French door model JFC 2089 HE. Why?

likely a lot of condensate has been collecting in the catch tray, and it hasn't been able to evaporate off. You may have to slide the fridge out, and empty the tray by hand.
