Trying to register new Garmin nuvi 750 and can't get pat sign on
Keeps telling me that the password or nickname or whatever is already used, and in once, but can't get back in. My home computer is on dial up and very slow, so wanted to try on friends high speed internet. I guess I will wait for an answer at home. Thanks

Perhaps if you can reply with your unit's internal serial number we can confirm if your using the correct serial number to register. Please turn the unit on and go to the Tools at the bottom, then touch Settings, then System. Here you can touch About at the bottom and recall your Unit ID

If your unit is not registering on the Garmin website, then the unit is probably already registered. If its already registered, the Garmin website won't recognize it. If you bought it used, you need to call the person who you bought the unit from and tell them to delete their registration so that you can re-register under your name. If you bought it new, call Garmin customer service at 1-800-800-1012 and have them clear the registration. They will require proof of purchase. New Units sometimes get purchased registered and then returned. Some places will place the merchandise back on the shelf after verifying everything is still there.

To register your Garmin device, please visit the Garmin registration page online. To begin, select the type of product you wish to register then follow these easy steps based upon the product selected:
Sign in to your existing myGarmin account or select the option to create a new account (if one has not already been created)1
If prompted, select Continue on the page titled "Getting Started"
Connect your device to your computer
Follow the steps to install the Garmin Communicator Plugin2
Confirm the device information is correct and select Continue

Registering the new garmin nuvi 1450 is quite simple. What you need to do is to connect the garmin nuvi 1450 to a computer that has internet on it. Then you go to www.garmin.com then you select the support link,
then a list will pop up, select product registration, it will prompt you to create a user name and password, then it will ask for some information about the garmin you are trying to register.Then it willbe registered.

Click on the HOME tab if you're not already there and on the left side, under myProducts, click "Register" Follow the prompts and you'll be able to register your second garmin satnav under the same username and password.
