DVD Playback

Whenever I attempt to play a DVD, the sound skips frequently. I just downloaded a DVD decoder. How do I get the DVD player for media center to play with the issue of skipping sounds?

What is your operating system, amount of RAM, CPU speed, and graphics card?

What DVD are you trying to play and have you attempted to play other DVDs?

What software are you using to play the DVD? Windows Media Player?

Also, there are no 'DVD decoders' - no such thing exists. Was it an audio codec that you downloaded? A driver for your DVD drive?
