The wire should be a green or a light green. You can look for it behind the kick panel or the sill plate on the drivers side. it should be in with the wires running towards the back of the truck.

My radio wont work in my 97 chevy cheyenne

The unit does not turn on at all? No lights, no clock? I know you checked the fuse but did you check for a physical +12v on both the power wires and verify the ground is grounding?
If all your wires are verified then hopefully you're still under warranty. This is a pretty low-cost unit and as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
If you are getting lights etc. on the unit but no sound, chances are your internal amp transistors are blown. Not worth repairing but you can usually use the external am outputs with an amplifer to keep going.

My 97 chevy pick has a random missfire

Possible plug or wire. At night in a dark place, have the engine running and spray, from a water bottle, the plug wires and around the spark plugs. If you see a spark, you found the problem. If no spark is found you will need to pull each plug to see if one is fouled out or not firing. To test the wires check them with an omp meter. They should have 4000 omp resistance per foot length. Possible crack in dist cap.

97 chevy truck stuck in park after replacing brake booster

Check to see if your brake light come on when the brake pedal is depressed. If the brake lights do not turn on, check that the brake light switch is connected. More than likely, the switch was disconnected when the booster was replaced and not reconnected.
Other things to check if the brake switch wiring is attached.
Check fuse #16 in the instrument panel fuse panel; it is a 20 amp fuse. If it is good, check the wiring at the brake light switch. The light green wire at the brake light switch should have +12 volts when the ignition is in the run position. If you do not get +12 volt, it may indicate that the neutral safety switch is not functioning. The dark green / white wire at the switch should should be +12 volt with the ignition in the run position when the brake pedal is NOT applied. With the brakes applied, it should be almost ground. If you do not get ground, the shift lock control solenoid may be your problem.

I have a 97 5.7 vortec I am getting no spark at all. I have replaced the followng parts ignition coil crank positon sencer distributor cap and roter timming chain and gears had the ignition contrloe module...

check to make sure there is power going to the ignition coil, can simply be done by using a test light, if there is power to the coil check the coil wire and plug wires, could also be a loose or broken ground wire, check to make sure all grounds are tight and free of corrosion and rust, could change the camshaft positioning sensor too but that should'nt have anthing to do with the spark

Auto electricl wiring size and color

I have been restoring cars for years and in my opinion the absolute best/easiest way is to buy a new harness kit from "Painless Wiring" it will include a complete harness and fuseblock, the wires are all labeled so there really isn't any guesswork.

97 Chevy Truck starts and idles rough and then shuts down

Sounds like you're loading up with fuel. I'd check the fuel pressure regulator. Some engines are set up with a regulator inside the intake plenum, which requires plenum removal.
