Lenovo Y450 laptop turns on briefly then shuts off

To restart, press the power button for about 12 seconds. Then restart.

Does the laptop work on AC ? Is the battery or cord/charged a replacement? First, try another cord/charger of the EXACT same specs as original. Second, Is the battery good? How old? Over 4 years? Have it tested. Beware of inexpensive aftermarket batteries and cord/chargers. I assume the laptop works on AC? If you unplug the AC , with battery in, the laptop shuts down immediately?

it migt be turn off. try to press Fn + F1 + F2 + F3 + F4 + F5 + F6 + F7 + F8 + F9 + F10 + F11 + F12 to turn OFF or to turn ON. or you may go to BIOS to turn it on from there.

Its best to call Lenovo and order the recovery disc so you can revert your system to factory settings by reinstallinng the right OS for your system with is a OEM version of lenovo. At the moment. try to press Fn+esc then it should open the bluetooth window..if not try to install latest driver fro bluetooth in http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/DriversDownloads/drivers.html just enter your serial number there..

I think it would be better if you order the bottom base cover for the machine, because the bottom base cover have the power port connector installed with it and its connected to the Motherboard, the power port is not built-in to the Motherboard for the model of your machine.

theres a possiblity that the problem is with the Operating System,what I suggest is you set the computer to the factory default,but just to give you a heads up,once you set it to the defaukt settings,it will delete everything so you need to back up all the files first... Once you back up all the files,turn off the laptop and then press the little button near the power button,that is just a little button with a drawing of an arrow going down.. there will be an optio that says one key recovery,choose that one then choose restore from factorys back up/initial back up then click on next then it will go back to the time when you first got the pc out of the box, hope this will help...

Unfortunaltey you have liquid in the mouse pad area, unfortunatley there is no quick fix.

The laptop will need to be booked into a reputable PC shop for repair

usually you press Fn + F5, However this will not work untill Lenovo Energy Management is installed.. So install that first and hit Fn + F5 to see wireless on and bluetooth off.. set that to on and Windows will install the drivers automatically from windows update.. Or you can also use lenovo bluetooth driver below.
