My LCT 2662 (AKAI) will not recognize my laptop via a VGA
So whichever mode the tv is in, it will not recognize the laptop when a VGA cable is attached. I've tried searching vor hardware via the laptop, using FN F8 on the laptop but to no avail. Any suggestions?

Open the back of the TV,and look at the can shaped items on the boards. If any of them have the tops,or bottoms bulged out, they need to be replaced. This should get it working again.I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please let me know.Thank You very much!
I'm surprise to see the repair shop telling you there nothing they can do.
The power supply can be fix if you take the time to troubleshoot it. However this is not a DIY project.
The failure is in the capacitors that are bulging out of the top or bottom. Quite visibly defective.
