Question about Washing Machines
Since two weeks ago, my washing machine has not been able to spin dry the load of laundry. If I kept repeating the spin process, the machine started generating some burning smell. Please advise on whether I should call in someone for repair or to buy a new washing machine.
The washer has a reversable motor. One way it washes and everything is sweet. the other direction the water pumps out and the brake gets released allows the tub to slowly start spinning and eventually spin out the water from the clothes. So what can go wrong? The thrust washer will not release the tub and let it spin. A new kit comes with everything you need to replace it.Since you never said what brand you have I am oly guessing of course by the symtoms you have given.
