You will have the noise until it gets used to the new fluid

Check the level of power steering fluid in the reservoir, there should be a dipstick for that. Make sure its within the specified amount. If its not try adding some. Also there could be air in the power steering system, and if you had the fluid changed somewhere i would reccomend bringing it back to them and having them bleed the system.

Humming sound on passenger on rear side of 2004 ford escape

indicates a front wheel bearing failing
turning the steering wheel alters the sound indicates that the load on the wheel bearing changes with a change of direction
Also have the power steering pump checked as the noise could be pressure changes as you move the steering wheel

Key stuck in ignition and wont release to the off position.

Try to move the stering weel left and right and turning the key at the same time. The weel lock can trap the key sometimes.. If that doesnt help move the key up and down wile turning it .. Still no luck? double check the gear shifter and if all is well might be time to hit up a locksmith..Best of luck!

Hi, I have a 94' Chevrolet Corsica, and the engine temp gauge light came on. It was making a weird clicking noise. When I pulled over to park, my car stalled. The engine and stering weel it seemed like,...

Check your serpentine belt. If ok then check engine coolant if that is ok take off radiator cap start engine and watch to see if the coolant in the radiator starts to circulate when engine reaches operating temp. If it don't change engine thermostat if all fails to get coolant moving then you will have to change the water pump.

Power stering problem

Check with your local GM dealer.
They've found that updating to a new fluid (about $80.00)
Solved my steering clunking problem anyway.
Good luck!

Leaking power stering

The steering sounds weird because the Power steering pump is starting to mix air into the fluid , it might make more noise turning than going straight. the places it most likely is leaking is the high pressure hose to the steering rack assembly , next would be the pump assembly , and the steering rack from there. the return line is more likely to have a seeping leak if any.

Hope this helps
