Question about Kenmore 73502 / 73504 / 73509 Bottom Freezer Refrigerator
Our hoover fridge freezer has spent 12 weeks in sea freight container moving from UK to New Zealand. We plugged it in on arrival and it chugs away as normal but after being on all night was not remotely cool although the elements at the back were very hot. Tried turning off and leaving for a few days but still no different. In the hoover is not a common make over here we don't know if its something simple to fix or whether it will cost us more to get it checked out and possibly replace parts than to buy a new fridge freezer. Any suggestions? Could the coolant have run out/evaporated in transit? The front feet have been smashed off somehow too so we don't know if it has had a fall on its travels.
ANy advice much appreciated.
It may need to be re-gassed and repaired. But before you do its plainly been damaged in transit so you will be able make a claim agianst the transport company. Don't be shy call them and ask how to make a claim.
