Question about JVC AM FM CD DET FACE CAR STEREO

NEEDS TO BE RESET

My JVC car radio will not eject the cd that is currently inside of it. It has never given me a problem before, but every time I hit the eject button, it says PLEASE RESET. like it will not eject the cd until I reset it. I do not see where or how to reset it. There is no reset button on my model. Its kind of old, but it is in good shape and has barely been used until now.....so, I expected it to still work for a WHILE...anyways, the model number is JVC (KD-G800) Please help, as I do NOT want to have to trash this cd player or the great cd that is currently inside of it....THANK YOU!!

If it is an aftermarket radio check the fuse, it might be blown if it is the manufactures radio then its probably dead and needs replaced, i would also retrace the wires and make sure non are touching or have been cut somehow, once it happened to me and a wire piece was sticking threw the black tape touching a metal piece inside the dash, this is why its best not to use black tape, and also if you running a system you might just need a new radio i fired a Sony one year could never figure out why it went out took it to a shop they said the system was to much and over heated the radio...crazy.

How do i get my cd out its stuck when i push the eject button it dosent come out

A trick I've used several times is to hit the eject button and take another CD, put it in about 1/3 of the way, push down on the CD that's stuck inside while pulling forward, all of this while the deck is trying to eject will usually get a stubborn CD out.

My car radio jvc won't eject my cd? an need to kow how to?

this is a common problem with this model radio. if it wont eject by pushing the eject button. you can do a hard reset by holdin the SEL button & the POWER button at the same time until the until ejects your disk. OR pushing the SEL button first, then the POWER and holding both until it resets.

hope this helps
