Go to my computer scroll to sansa or your MP3 player and open the music folder and open each sub folder and delete Songs manually then delete the folders themselfs then format a couple of times hope this works
Try and drag and drop from your music folder to the media folder on the player make sure usb mode is msc this will show you all the folders Use your windows explorer for the transfer... much easier...If you don't have copies of your music copy to a folder on the computer first
"Connect your player, of course. Go to "My Computer" > "Sansa e260".
There are hidden files. To unhide go to "Tools" (located on the menu
bar) > "Folder Options..." > hit the "View" tab > select "Show
hidden files and folders". You will see more folders to appear in a
faded color. Click on the "MUSIC" folder. Click on the artist, then
album then select the song, right click and down to delete." --Yahoo Answers
you can go to my computer open up the drive that has your player in it should have a folder called system. If you do not see it change your folder options to view hidden files and folders. To do this you go to the tools on the tool bar click folder options then click the view tab and it should be somewhere in the list. In the folder "system "there are other folders. The folder called music should have it. If not it is on the root of the player in the folder also called music.
what you need to do is this.
i cant help you if you have a mac but i can help you if you have a pc.
for pcs, you need to plug in your player.once its connected, double click "my computer".in it, the player should have registered and their should be an icon that says "sandisk sansa e260" ( or something like that, i couldnt exsactly tell you considering my player is completely busted at the moment.)then you should see a bunch of files.the files will include album art, songs, and folders for videos or pictures.in the pictures folder you can access your pictures, and right click on the files you wish to delte, and simply just...hit delete.
