Need help finding drivers. I don't know if anyone still follows this page or not. I just dug my Viewpad 1000 out of the junk room and am looking for ALL the updated drivers for it (specifically the networking divers). if you have any or all I'd be very thankful for the help.

My viewsonic viewpad 7e wont stay on when i turn it on it shows up starting screen then turns off and just keeps doing it over and over again help plz

I think your Viewpad 7e needs to be serviced. I hope it's still under warranty.

I see the other two awesome solutions provided here: a manual for a completely different tablet and an offer for an ethernet driver you can't use.

I am actually working on a Viewpad 7e right now with the same symptom. I think it will need a new main board, but if I do come across another solution I will post it here.

Hello! I have ViewSonic 10. It cannot see an external HDD. It was correctly (I suppose) formatted but anyway the problem exists. It sees a USB card ok.

The problem is that the Viewpad 10 does not have enough power at the USB port to push a standard external HDD. You will need an externally powered drive or a two to one usb cable for this to work.

Always get your drivers from the manufacturer of your Laptop, Notebook or Desktop.

If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, usually one is able to download if available, by model number, All available Driver downloads as required.

If the driver is not available, perhaps your manufacturer does not support the OS you are installing.

This is the best way of ensuring up to date drivers for your system and they are free of charge!

There are no XP drivers to be found with Microsoft as XP is no longer supported.

Some manufacturers may have a limited number of Drivers still listed.

I hope this helps.

I cannot find ethernet driver for my Viewsonic Viewpad 1000

im not quite shure if this is what you are looking for but it is a Driver for a vewsonic viewpad 1000 however it is only for the operating system windows XP and below, however if you are running vista you can still try it. it is possible that it may work for vista.
you can find it and download it by following this link >
http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=334738
only thing is in order to get it youll need to select Download this file by viewing a series of ads (no registration required) and it is FREE.
Hope this solves your problem Good Luck.

External HDs are not usually recognised on boot, however some external CD drives are.. although most of these type of devices have a built in recovery partition, which should allow you to restore this tablet back to factory without having to resort to loading from external devices. try pressing f10 or f11 on boot or look for other messages on bootup to press a key combination if all else fails try looking for instructions on factory reset from the manufacturers website

Windows Login issue

I think you are either going to need the docking bay or an external PCMCIA CD-ROM drive to reinstall either Windows 2000 or XP. Legally I believe you need to install a new OS anyway as MS does not allow the transfer of education licensed operating system from the original owner. http://www.viewsonic.com/pdf/us_eng/products/vp_guide_1000_10-22.pdf None of those options work? I would hope that the school deleted everything on the device before selling it. If they did maybe they made the username Administrator and left the password blank.
