Question about Quasar TP-2009D 20" TV

1 Answer

Quasar VV-2009 I purchases a used television without a remote - I bought a universal but cannot get it to work with my television. The TV turns on alright but I cannot change the channels - I have to hit the up channel arrow twice - on the second time the channels begin to show quickly - then I have to hit the stop button on the VCR to make it stop on a channel. Does this TV require a remote that is specific to this TV to resolve this problem or does it sound like something is wrong with the way the TV and VCR are interacting???

Re: Quasar VV-2009

Here is the link to the manual if you need it; check page 26 item 4 - vcr lock - just a possibility this may solve the problem, long shot. Let us know which remote you have and we may be able to find out how to program it for your tv. page 37 gives you contact details if you want to buy the correct remote. I suspect that with the correct programming, your universal should work fine though. Hope this helps :)

What is the codes for universal remote control

If you have a universal remote control, you can use its "code search" feature to find a code that will enable some or all functions of your Quasar TV. If a search does not yield a code or codes, the code library in your remote may not have have one that will work. Youmay have to try using another programmable remote.

Cable connection

some older tv's only go up to so many may not even need a remote to set up cable tv. if you are going to use a cable box on this tv, put the tv on channel 3.if not, look in front of the tv for a little door. behind it maybe knobs or buttons that can program the channels 1 at a time [+= add - = erase. there also maybe a switch for different cable types [hrc, std, etc]
hope this helps
