Question about Frigidaire FRS3R5EMB Side by Side Refrigerator
It beeps at me 3 times when plugged in, only the freezer light comes on. No displays at all & no refrigerator lights, Found some corrosion on the connector for the control board, while trying to unplug the connector, the refrigerator came on momentarily and went back off. I cleaned the corrosion on the circuit board solder joints for the connector and the connector but now it doesn't even come on at all but it still beeps 3 times when plugged in.

take all the bottom shelves and baskets out of the freezer. look at the back wall of the freezer. youll see a block of ice in a metal pan looking part at the bottom of the rear panel. there is a hole in the bottom of that pan. thats the defrost drain. its clogged. use a hair dryer to get all the ice out then use hot water to flush out the drain hole.

the thermistor is most likely bad. you would have to take an ohm reading of the thermistor and check the tech sheet to see if it is in range. The thermistor is $50 to $75 part.
