Thermidor GG30 cooktop front large burner will not light, does not spark. Three other burners work fine. Need instructions how to disassemble and repair. I am handy but no experience with this item. ...

Here is the part to order.

Close the valve in the gas line connected to the Thermador oven. Unplug the cooktop's electrical cord from the wall outlet.
Remove the screws under the front edge of the Thermador cooktop below the cabinet to release the cooktop from the countertop.

Put on work gloves then raise the cooktop at an angle. Recruit a friend to hold up the appliance while you work on the igniter underneath. The igniter is a pronged strip of black metal in a housing wired with two plugs connected to powericon1.png sockets underneath the Thermador cooktop.

Disconnect the two wired plugs on the end of the igniter from the sockets.
Take out the two screws in the metal plate that hold the igniter in position under the Thermador cooktop. Pull the igniter out of the mounting bracket in the cooktop.
Hold the new igniter by the housing and insert the part into the mounting bracket. Secure it with the two screws.
Connecticon1.png the two wired plugs to the sockets. One plug is larger than the other, which makes it simple to connect them correctly.

Lower the Thermador cooktop into position on the countertop and reattach it with the screws through the underside of the front edge.
Plug inicon1.png the cooktop's power cord and open the valve in the gas line.

Fuel pump/replacement

  • 1

Open the hood and prop it.

  • 2

Open the cover to the under-hood fuse box and locate the fuel pumpicon1.png relay. You can find the fuel pump relay by reading the diagram under the fuse box cover.

  • 3

Remove the fuel pump relay by pulling it up with your fingers.

  • 4

Crank the engine for approximately 5 seconds and repeat three times. The engine won't start, because the fuel pump relay is removed and will just crank. The purpose behind this is to relieve fuel systemicon1.png pressure so that you can safely remove the fuel filter without fuel spraying dangerously.

  • 5

Locate the fuel filter on the passenger side of the engine compartment. It should be black and cylindrical with two fuel hoses attached to it.

  • 6

Unscrew both hose clamps with a screwdriver and pull the hoses off.

  • 7

Unscrew the bracket holding the fuel filter with a screwdriver and remove the fuel filter.

  • 8

Install a new fuel filter onto the bracket and tighten the bracket with a screwdriver

  • 9

Connect the two fuel lines to the new fuel filter and tighten the hose clamps with a screwdriver.

  • 10

    Reinstall the fuel pump relay.

Start the Kia Sorento and make sure there aren't any leaks. It may take a few cranks to get the fuel circulated through the system for the car to start.

There is hardly any water flow from the faucet in the refrigerator door. A re light at the top of the refrigerator side sys the water filter is plugged. Where is the filter and how do I clean it? ...

    Hello,

Without knowing the manufacturer and model of your fridge, it will be impossible to tell you exactly.

Some manufacturers have the filter installed on the back side of the fridge, some will have it behind an access panel. Others will have the filter located at the bottom kick panel on the front of the fridge. Others will have it located in the refrigerator compartment, behind an access panel.

If you post the make and model, perhaps I can find the user manual for you, maybe a source for filters as well. Filters are typically replaced, and not cleaned.

I am trying to remove the filter from a tappan range hood model HD1442I I see clips on each side of the filter but they don't want to move.

They are more than likely stuck from grease take a butter knife and slid it between the hood and the screen and break the grease seal all around the screen then try removing it by pulling on the tabs at the same time in one direction away from the frame it should come out. You can go to Wal Mart and buy Super clean to clean the grease out of it and the hood as well. Be sure to wear rubber gloves when using the super clean, it's in the automotive section if yo have a spray bottle you can buy the gallon jug it's like $7.00 for a gallon and $4.99 for 10 oz. spray bottle and I use it on everything cars stoves washing machines and any appliance that needs cleaned it is a very powerful cleaner. Hope this helps, if this does not do the trick let me know and I will give ya some more advice but pretty sure it's just the spattered grease holding it in place. Hope this helps and thanks for using fix-ya.
