Hi, My HDTV model is 56DC1D. i just bought this 52 HDTV recent ly ... not long ago i was watching the TV and changed the channel to other channel, but suddenly the picture just stayed there on the screen, i tried to press any button either from the remote control or on the actual hdtv .. it just couldnt be disappeared, tried to unplug/switch off the power point and waited for few minutes ... but the same thing happened again, i could see the picture was going for few secs and it backed to freezed on the screen.. the funny thing was that the sound is still on but jus the pic was stayed on the screen (it is more like to pause a dvd movie) so is there anything that i can do to solve this problem? or do i have to purchase a new lamp? but this hdtv only few months old ... thankz for your time n looking forward for your responses
I have exactly the same problem and I'm in Australia.
I just called the LG service line and they were very helpfull.
Relax, there are two things to do.
First is a temp fix, (but the problem will re occur)
It requires a tech to visit and do a software upgrade which is free.
Steps to temp fix are,
Unplug from power
remove antenna cable from rear of TV
Restore power to TV
(you will have no picture obviously)
then select from the remote control
MENU - SETUP - AUTO PROGRAMME
and run the auto programme, this allows the TV to detune and
"clear it's memory"
Once completed, re attach the antenna and re tune,
MENU - SETUP - AUTO PROGRAMME
This should fix it for a while.
But call 1800643156 and log the fault then a tech will
fix it permanently
I hope this helps - Gordo from Perthriders.com.

This is the 3rd LG tv to appear to have problems today on this site. If it's only a couple of months old, i don't know about Australia, but in the UK the retailer must replace the set, but after 3 months, you have to get your local LG service centre to collect it, and in past experience, they can't seem to find a fault after holding on to it for weeks and not returning e mails or calls.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
