I have a 2002 Infinity I35 which has the Bose 6 disc cd changer in the dash. I just bought the car about 6 months ago and my only complaint about the car is that the cd changer skips like crazy.....just about all the time. It's worse in the morning and on the first half of each cd. Unfortunately the car is 6 years old and there is no warranty. Just wasn't sure if anyone knew of an easy fix or whom would be my best bet of taking it to get fixed. I live in Eastern North Carolina. I've already tried one of those cd lense cleaning disc.....nothing! HELP

Same exactly - 2002 I35. Except I owned mine from the beginning. My work around is to change to the next cd, once it is about to play, change to the next, and so forth until you get back the one you want to hear. I, too, think that it is a loose head, but not sure how much that would cost to get it fixed.

you can try disconnecting the battery for 10 min. to reset the system. If that dosent work then you will need to send the radio into a repair shop to have them manually remove the cd and repair the changer. (the changers are very fragle and break inside) you can send it directly to alpine to be repaired.their number is 1-800-421-2284 ex 860304
Some bose cd changers have a gear the get cracked and must be replaced. You did not specify which bose you have, so I have told you of the most common problem with the bose 6 cd changers.
If this is in one of the silver slimline type of units, it is very difficult to get them apart if you have not dome it before. The gear is also very hard to get to in the changer. it would be a good idea to let a professional service technician look at it. You will need to take it to an authorized bose service center because bose does not sell parts to any service centers unless they are bose authorized. They just started that about 2 years ago.
I hope this was helpful to you, let me know if I can assist you further.
