Re: New Kenmore Elite Front Loader will not get past...
Hello wheeljc; I had the same problem when I purchased my Kenmore Elite in 2006. I have a HE4t front load. It's possible that you're using to much detergent, if you're using HE liquid it only requires a small amount and does a very good job.

Kenmore HE5t Washer Repair for Error Code F21 & Sud ... The only other suggestion is to turn the breakers ...
you need a new pressure switch more than likley its flashing sud before giving you a f35 too right?
that is a very comon problem with the steam washers
if you take the lid off and look to the rear right you will see it
it is small black and dark orangish redwith a hose attached to it
I got the f35 and suds code repeatedly and my clothes weren't washed, I ordered from Sears the analog pressure switch that regulates the water coming into the washer and the codes went away, the part is esitmately $125.00 including shipping but you have to order from the Sears parts department. If you print a diagram of the washer it is #38 in the diagram and is easy to replace. You can install it yourself and as a female I did not call service to do it.
Sometimes the SUDS/F35 is because of TOO MUCH detergent. To clear you have to set the cycle on rinse and then keep pouring cups of water into the detergent container as the cycle is going. You might have to do this a few times because if the SUDS message comes up the water flow will stop. Just unplug and try again. Also when the detergent container is finally clear you will see the little rotators gears move around when the cycle starts.
F35 has to do with the pressure switch which is located under the top panel on the back right. It will have a little black hose hooked to it. This happens when SUDS or detergent somehow gets up into it and usually locks unit out. Only solution is to replace pressure switch. You can find the tech sheet behind the bottom front panel usually tape to the back side of that panel or taped to the bottom right side inside unit. Hope this helps
