I replaced my memory but my disc is still saying no room

Your computer _permanently_ stores files (including music and videos) on your disk-drive,
even after you turn the computer off. The disk-drive can become "full".

Your computer also has RAM ("Random Access Memory") that is used _only_ while your computer is running. If you run too many simultaneous programs, the RAM can become "full".
When you turn the computer off, the contents of the RAM are forfeited.

So, where are you getting the "full" message?

> replaced my memory ...

Did you replace with an item of the _same_ size, or with a _larger_ item?
How large was the original? How large is the replacement?

What is the use of RAM?

The ram is basically the speed memory, any programs open are saved to the ram while in use, the more ram the more things can run. Hope this helps :)

This issue sometimes occured on older units when upgrading the firmware. I would try updating the firmware to the current revisoin as a first step.

Secondly, disable the RAM disk to see if that works. You will need to reboot printer after turning Ram disk off.

Menu locatin as follows:

Menu -> Configure device ->System setup -> set Ram disk = off, (by default it is auto, change it to OFF).

If this does not resolve the issue you will need to escalate to HP to obtain a PJL file that enables the onboard Jet Direct.

My sony vaio vgn showed blue screen of death and turn it of now is starting and grinding noise freeze turn it off what is the problem pls help me

dear umbro5102

for the inspection of the ram first. open the ram cover and remove your ram, the ram rubbing the copper with fire (if you have the new ram (or ram a 100% work) is even better.
re-enter your ram and see what happens (if still no change)
open your hard disk and connect it using the external casing and then scanned with the use of effective anti-virus. when everything is complete, reinstall the hard disk and see what happens.
if it still happens you have to do repairs and inspections are more serious again.
These things usually happen because of hardware or software problems
please call again for more information

thanks and regards

How do iknow if my motherboard is bad on my computer

Usually, by a process of elimination.

First, inspect the motherboard -- all those round towers are capacitors; any that are leaking (brown stuff) are bad news; any towers bulging at the top, instead of flat, are bad news.

If you turn the computer on, and the fans start to spin, and the disk-drive makes a bit of noise for a short time, then the power-supply probably is NOT the problem.

If you turn it on, and you get multiple "beeps", then it's either the RAM or the video-card.

If you turn it on, and nothing happens, it's the CPU or the RAM or the power-supply.

Disconnect the disk-drive, the CD-drive, the floppy-drive, and all USB devices. If you then turn it on, and you don't get a single "beep",
it's the motherboard or RAM or power-supply.

Test the RAM in another computer.

Temporarily connect a different power-supply to your computer;
if it starts properly, it's your power-supply.

How do I clear data from my RAM disk on Dell 3100cn printer

The RAM for the printer is temporary.
turn off the printer and unplug the printer from the outlet. wait for 20 sec. plug the printer in and turn it on.
you can select in the printer properties page of the printer to print immediately instead of spool and print from the last page first. that will eliminated the ob store in the RAM.

Reseat your ram modules and remove the 2nd hdd
try rebooting
If same thing , then reset the Bios to default ,save and exit
Try again..
If same thing ? assuming you have more then 1 stick of ram,, try booting with 1 stick removed . to eliminate ram modules being bad
then switch ram untill you have verified ram chips are or aren't bad
Hope this helps

Ram disk

Stangowner, In this case, the print job is too large for the available printer memory. Your choices are one of the following: Press to clear the message, cancel the current print job, and conduct the next print job, if any. · Press Cancel to cancel the current print job. · Press Menu to open the Stored Print and delete the current job. To avoid this error in the future, do the following: · Reduce the number of print pages such as splitting the print data. · Increase free memory space by deleting unnecessary data in the RAM disk. As for the RAM disk: When you send a job to the printer, you can specify in the driver that you want the printer to hold the job in memory. When you are ready to print the job, you must go to the printer and use the operator panel menus to identify which job in the memory you want to print. You can use this function to print a confidential job (Secure Print), or verify one copy before printing additional copies (Proof Print). NOTE: The printer holds the job until you delete it by using the operator panel or you turn off the printer. (This is the RAM disk) NOTE: Print and Hold functions require a minimum of 320 MB available printer memory. Also, you need to configure the RAM disk settings on either the OPERATOR PANEL OR THE PRINTER DRIVER. NOTE: Depending on the documents, its job may be too big for the available memory. In this case, an error occurs. Take this link and print it out. It will help you later when you get "other" error messages. And here's a link for more "operational" situations.
