No. You have to provide the proper Key Code for that version of XP.
The keys even vary between builds of a certain version. So if you try someone elses key for XP Pro it still may not work because of the build version. If you do not have the Code Key then you may have to try several Keys if you have friends that will allow the use of thier Keys.

Put the genuine Microsoft CD-ROM disk into your CD-ROM drive.
Restart your computer.
As soon as it starts, look for a message like "press Fxx to temporary change boot-order".
Press that key.
Select to boot from you CD-ROM drive.
This will start to install Windows, by reading from the CD-ROM drive.

Yes..it's available from a reseller that works with Canon. If you can give me the actual model number from that unit, and perhaps a serial number, we'll be able to proceed.

OTOH, that question about the Canon and Final Cut, that's usual. Those folks don't even go to the same conventions or seminars.

Digital madness.

How want to downgrade win vista to xp pro hp compaq v3000

If you have a Windows XP Pro installation disk, put it in the optical drive, restart your computer, on startup, go to BIOS settings (usually press [Delete] and set the optical drive as first boot device. Save changes and exit. When the computer starts it usually says to press any key to start from CD. Press any key and the windows installation will start. Make sure you format C: and you will downgrade to Windows XP Pro. If you want to upgrade to Vista again, you will need to know the keyboard sequence to start Vista from Its partition or have Vista install disk.
