HOBART HANDLER 135 GAS WILL NOT SHUT OFF

I HAVE REPLACED THE GAS VALVE AND IT STILL WILL NOT SHUT OFF. YOU CAN TURN THE GAS ON AND SOON AS YOU PLUG WELDER IN GAS STARTS COMING OUT AND WILL NOT STOP. IT ACTS AS IF IT HAS A SHORT IN IT. WHEN YOU PLUG IT IN IT CLICKS LOUDLY AND MAKES A LOUD BUZZING NOISE.

same problem as stated. i can sometimes stop this condition by turning the wire feed to 60-65 and the amp switch to 4, then getting a piece of scrap steel i start running 2-10 hot beads until the condition stops. once i don't hear gas hissing out of the tip i shut the gas off and then the welder. i let the welder sit for 5-10 minutes and usually it's good to go. i don't know why it does this. i can only guess it's a relay or solenoid that gets stuck on. i too have a hobart handler 135. it's a great welder except for this problem.

There is a solenoid that controls the gas flow. If it's stuck, you will get gas flow. It will also stick if it gets frosted up too much. If it does, turn your gas back.

It doesn't take much to jamb the solinoid , too much presure on the argon will hold this open, turn the gas off, purge the line, release the pressure on the regulator, Now turn the gas on and put approximatley 2-3lbs only on the gauge, turn the flow meter for a reading of 15-20ltr/min, then try again,

Hobart handler 135, the wire starts to feed for about 15 seconds then slows and stops.

Hi:
Don't know how old is your unit but my guess is that your gun's liner is the problem. Have you change it lately? If not, change it. Does your machine just stops feeding the wire or does it shuts down? If it just stop then; is the liner, if it shuts down; then you have a pc board problem.

I have a hobart 135 handler that with machine plugged in and turned on the wire has constant juice and the gas cylonoid is flowing gas from the bottle without the trigger being pressed. my dealer said it...

Hi:
Have you disconnect the gun's power plug? If the wire and gas stop flowing by doing this action, then your problem is the gun's trigger. If the machine continues to feed gas and wire with the gun disconnected then yes, it is the pc board.
Good luck.

I have a hobart handler 135 motor stops feeding

Take the drive motor off and blow out dust, chips, wire pieces, etc. and then rinse out with contact cleaner, blow dry, re-install. Had to do this every so often with mine. Hope that helps.

I have a hobart 135 welder that is not working right. The gas keeps running when your not welding. When you plug it in it sounds like something is running inside without it being turned on. Do you know...

This sounds like the gas solinoid, first, check the gas flow, this should be 12 - 15 ltr per min: if thegas flow is to high it will hold the solinoid vale open. you can reduce the gas flow to a minimum, then check to see if the solinoid closes and opens, if not the iether the voltage to the solinoid is too low or the solinoid plunger is damage, replase the solinoid. lets know .

Hobart Handler 135 not feeding wire

try checking your heat selector switch. the pc board gets power from it. so the pc board relay may function (click) but have little or no power once the curcuit is made to the feed motor. it happened on my 135.

Seised wire inside feeding tube

You can replace the liner by removing the shroud tip, and pulling the spring (liner) from the machine end of the trifgger cable.
Liners are replaceable.
