Go to Start>Programs>Internet Explorer, then right click on Internet Explorer, select "Run as administrator". If this works then repost and I will help you to resolve the problem. Steve  Also please post whether this is XP or Vista you are running.

This is not an Internet Explorer fault but a network fault. Somwhere down at the bottom of that error message it will say something like "Could not find server" or "DNS error". When was it last working? If it was just recently working just try a restart before we troubleshoot any further. You are our eyes so  be patient and tell us what you see on the message screen, the way you connect to the Internet and if something was changed after it last worked. Steve

I am still here if you are still having a problem. It is a network problem rather than IE so try a restart of the computer if you haven't done so already and tell me how you connect to the Internet, ok? Steve

To kill two birds with one stone you should first contact the cable company by phone. They can "see" your cable modem, do a remote reset and tell you what settings you need to have for free as you are paying them already for service. This is not a problem with your computer, it is an Internet connection problem. Steve

My internet explorer is closed i want to re open

Hi,

What do you mean exactly by closed? You don't have say the exact information or massage which appears while you try to operate your internet explorer. It may be disabled by the work offline option. Go to the File tab on the above of the Internet explorer window and disable the work offline mode by clicking on Work Offline if it is ticked out. If it doesn't help you then download newer version of Internet explorer from web site and install it, or upgrade your Internet explorer.

My face book is not working. the error message is saying bigpipe undefined

I would suggest you to use the Internet Explorer in No Add-on mode and check if the issue persists. To run in No Add-on mode follow the below steps - Click Start, and then type Internet Explorer in the Start Search box. Click Internet Explorer (No Add-On). Internet Explorer opens without add-ons, toolbars, or plug-ins. Test Internet Explorer to verify that it works correctly. If the issue gets resolved use the below mentioned links for further resolution - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Internet-Explorer-add-ons-frequently-asked-questions

Internet explorer closes down after 45 secs, no warning just shuts down, firefox also shuts down. Only on laptop and after microsoft updates had been added. Restored to time prior to updates but problem...

Try Resetting Internet Explorer to its default settings. This removes all changes made to Internet Explorer since it was installed, but does not eliminate your bookmarks or feed. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Close all Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer in Windows.
2. Click Start, And then click Internet Explorer.
3. In Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu and then click Internet Options.
4. Click the Advanced tab and then click Reset.
5. In the readjustment of Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset.
6. When Internet Explorer finishes restoring the default settings, click Close, and then click OK twice.
7. Close Internet Explorer and then reopen it.

If resetting Internet Explorer to its default settings does not fix the problem, uninstall Internet Explorer 8 and then reinstall it. Also run AdAware, scanned for viruses, disable 3rd party, disable microsoft firewall, and check for BHO's.

I keep getting this error about a line and character not being In the library? internet explorer

Hi poltergist22

Normally the easiest thing to do with internet explorer is to install it again.

Try to first install it over the old Internet explorer and see if it works.

If not:
try to uninstall it first, then restart the computer and then reinstall the software (IE8). For this action I advice you to have another browser in case internet explorer should not work, at least to have Firefox portable.

Internet Explorer 8 link :
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx

Note: you can chance the default language to your language in the upper right corner.

Firefox portable link:
http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable

If this not work, please chek your firewall that is not blocating your Internet explorer 8 and your antivirus has not quarantine some files of your internet explorer 8

You can also try to chek your Internet Explorer 8 in default settings without any software apply: got to Start- All programs- accessories- sistem......- Internet Explorer (without accessories).
If this browser works, that means that it is something wrong with your extra programs you have installed on Internet explorer 8

Hope that helps
Have a nice day
