Acer Scanner

Thanks for your posting. I have installed the cd 'mirascan' which installs a TWAIN driver and relevant programs to run scanner. I plug in my scanner but my computer doesnt recognise the scanner. I have tried to add it manually through add hardware as well as adding it through scanners via control panel, but it keeps rolling back saying not enough storage space. the light is definately on in the scanner and plugged in via USB to laptop. I suspect it is because the driver for the scanner is not vista compliant, but the Acer web site has no downloads for this product.
