- Open up iTunes - Connect your iPod - Click on "iPod" in the upper right corner (v.11) - Click on "Restore iPod" in the first panel - Save your backup - iTunes should get you through the rest of restoring
NOTE: After the Restore, you have to configure everything (Wi-Fi, Settings, Syncing Apps, etc..)
connect your ipod to itunes and then click on your ipod. then click on updater and your ipod should be good as new.
this process is all on the computer.
Here I have the easiest solution for you but this will cause a permanent loose of all the data you have on your ipod.

If it was locked and you donot know the password then the only thing you can do is restore it using dfu mode hold both power and home button until it turns off and restart and show you to connect to iTunes. Then restore it. Let me know what happened.
Go on to itunes and plug your mp3 in to your computer and download it and salect which tunes you want. If it dose not work
there is somethind wrong whith your mp3
you will have to restore your ipod to factory default settings in itunes.
or you can jailbreak the ipod with software like quickpwn.
Here is how to restore your ipod in itunes.
You will need to put the itouch in DFU/Recovery mode to get it to connect.

Plug the
usb cable into the Ipod and NOT into the computer. Hold the
Home Button down for 5 second (do not release it) Then
Press and hold the Power Button for approx 10 secs (count them out) Your iPod
will reboot. Release
the power button and continue holding the Home button for an additional 27secs. You may
see the screen go blank or not. Plug the
USB end into the computer with itunes open. Your ipod
will mount in recovery mode. Restore
it and Your all set.
