Make sure the powr is on to the unit.
There should be a disconnect at the airhandler/furnace.

If it's a breaker, try flipping it off then on. If fuses, check the fuses.

Make sure you are actually getting power to the unit itself first.

If you are, you could have a bad transformer or low voltage fuse on the board is bad.

Does your T-stat have batteries? if so, replace them.

Check these items first, then we can go from there.

My Duo Therm furnace was working last night and not this morning

I would make sure there is power to the unit before I attempted any repairs. Gas being available will not allow the thermostat or gas valve to operate if there's no power to them

Heater won't work on air conditioner/heater

This sounds like a heat pump with a stuck reversing valve that needs a couple of light taps with a soft mallet or a faulty reversing valve solenoid. Make sure the solenoid is getting power. if no power, the thermostat is the problem. There's power at the solenoid, the check it for continuity,

There is no display on the thermostat which prevents me from turning on the heater.

assuming this is a central air unit, you have lost power to the heater giving you a blank display on the thermostat. Also, some thermostats require batteries for the display to work.

I have an White-Rodgers 1 F80-224 Programmable Electronic Digital Thermostat. 1. How do I stop the temperatue and time from flaching? 2. Our Heater turns it self OFF and ON again about every 10 minits...

Is the thermostat battery operated, if so replace the batteries and see if that helps. failing that I suggest that it is signaling a fault. Check around the unit, Are the filters clean, Is the furnace lighting up or is it only the fan that is turning on. Are you in Summer, is the roof space hot and causing the system to turn on in a n attempt to cool down. When I read your note again It does sound as though you have a thermostat fault. If the thermostat is a battery operated unit, you would find that it has a relay contact that makes or breaks a circuit to switch the heater on or off. If this is so you probably only have two wires going between the thermostat and heater, Agin if this is so and only if this is so, disconnect the thermostat, remove it, and twist the wires together that go to the heater. Turn the power back on and see if the heater runs ok . If all is normal then the thermostat is faulty. If there is more that 2 wires going to the heater I suggest that the fault is in the heater itself (indicated by the fault signal) and a trained serviceman is needed. Maybe the gas pressure is low, fuel filters dirty, faulty fan capacitor,?????

My moulinex radiant heater is not workinmg

Moulinex radiant heater has twin thermostats for regulating the temperature ,get the thermostats checked by a qualified electric repair centre and if there is a problem in thermostat the heater will start working with minor rubbing of the small metallic plate in the thermostat.

Heater and AC run even though thermostat is off

It sounds like you have a short in the control unit at the ceiling pack. Remove the inner shroud from the AC and pull down the control unit. Remove the cover from the control unit to access the relays. With the thermostat off, check for power at the white (or orange depending on the unit) wire coming from the thermostat to the relay board. Also check power from the yellow and gray wires from the thermostat to the control board. None of these should be hot with the thermostat off. If there is power then you have a short in the wiring between the tstat and the upper unit. If there is no power, then you have a bad control board.

Hope this helps,

Heater not working

Yes, you can bypass the tstat by using a jumper wire between the power wire and the heat side. These units are typically millivolts and require a special tstat. But anyway, that's how you check to see if it's the tstat.

Blank screen sounds like a fried thermosat. Abrupt outages can affect certain types of thermostats. Make a jumper wire and jump across R and G. See if you get any action from anywhere. If a fan or compressor kicks in you know you have a burned out thermosat...
