if you rapped the belt around the pulley and it's not tight enough then you popped the spring off of the pulley, you'll have to pull the drum again so you can see where the spring connects to the pulley, here's the sears site, put your model number in,click on cabinet parts and you'll see number 15 tention spring, this has to be connected to the pulley arm.http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Amana-Parts/Dryer-Parts/Model-NGD7200TW10/1268/0151200/W0712024/00002?blt=06&prst=&shdMod=
remove two phillips screws under lint screen trap door pop lid up... remove two corner screws usualy 5/16 nut driver lift upward and off to the right idler pulley bottom left pat attention to belt routing before taken off relace pulley change belt and repeat steps and reinstall
You need to remove the dryer casing so the drum is viewable. You need to release the tension on the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off the pulley, then you can slide the belt off the drum. Replacement is the same as removal. The tensioner pulley can many times be accessed through a compartment in the rear of the dryer.
The belt is acessable from the front of the dryer you can remove it by popping the top up then taking off the front of the dryer off the drum will come out now place the belt around the drum and put back in now the belt goes around the drum the motor pulley and under the tentioner pulley replace front and top and you are good to go thank you
you will have to take the drum out to see where the tentioner was inserted , it is in line with the motor pulley, should be a couple holes it fits into.
putting the belt on is easy , with the lined side of the belt down on the drum take the slack at the bottom with a finger holding the belt , move the belt toward the tentioner until it touches the tentioner pulley
then with your other hand help bend the tentioner pulley with the belt on it until you can touch the motor pulley with that finger , slide it off your finger onto the motor pulley and the belt is on.
let me know if you have any questions.
There are 2 slots underneath the motor pulley.
The flat part of the tensioner goues in these slots.
The roller wheel will then be on your left.
With the belt around the drum, run the belt under the wheel and through the tensioner, then over the motor pulley.
ok you need to change the belt take model number off machine go to appliance shop get replacement belt open front of dryer belt goes around drum around pulley on motor then under tentioner pulley thank you for useing fixya please rate me
