Thanks this may be helpful however was wondering if you could convert files form the origional program, without having to download anything, as I am not so keen to download things espeially if I havn't heard of them, due to the risk of viruses. Could u have another go and see if there is any way I can convert music files on the origional media player version I have got. look forward to hearing if you can do it and if so how.

Thanks. I din't explain it enough, what I meant is how do I convert files from cd format to mp3 format once the songs are on the computer or when u re copy them from the computer to a cd, not how to convert files coming onto the computer into mp3. I already have the music on the computer and don't want to recpy it to the computer in mp3 format, there must be a way to convert the music from one format to another once it is on the computer, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Windoze-med player 9 will not import cd's to "mp3".
download media player 10,or if your pc will handle it,11.
go to settings within the player(rip settings)and select "mp3"as the "rip-format".

How many times I click my windows media player, it didn't appear. I don't knnow why..!

Have you installed any third party players? Did you try to make any changes to the computer prior to this issue? Are you getting any error messages or error codes? You may try the following steps to rebuild the Windows Media Player Library database and check if it works. To do this, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, click Run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK. 2. Select all the files in the folder, and then click Delete on the File menu.
Note You do not have to delete the folders that are in this folder. 3. Restart Windows Media Player. If this does not resolve the problem, clear the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps: 1. Exit Windows Media Player. 2. If you are running Windows Vista, click Start, click Run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft, and then click OK. 3. Select the Media Player folder, and then click Delete on the File menu. 4. Restart Windows Media Player. For more information, you may refer the following article: You may try to install quicktime and then media player might use the codec to play .mov files. Note: Using Third Party Software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the use of Third Party Software can be solved. Using Third Party Software is at your own risk. Use Windows Media Player on the 'WMA' file to burn an "audio disk" -- use a CD-RW ("rewritable") disk. Then, use any program to read from the disk, and to create an MP3 file.

I cant get windows media player on my ps3

let me help you to explain why you can't get windows media player on we known, the wmv or wma format files always include DRM protection, that prevents illegally duplication .so you can't put the music to your ps3 directly .first you have to use some removal tool to remove drm from wmv files.and then convert the file format to ps3 format such as mp4 or avi format.there is all-in-one program ,that is wondershare media could get more tutorial from this link
