Yes there is a name and type number on your motherboard type in this at google and you will find al the specific data, but your clockspeed is controlled by your processor, so perhaps take the cooler off clean proccessor with a little of alcohol and read what is says.

Lenovo g565 graphic problem

First you should connect your computer to an external monitor and with the signal switched to that, establish whether it works or not. If it does there's nothing wrong with the video system in your computer.
Next establish whether the video is built in to the motherboard and if there's scope to use an external video card - some laptops support this
As a last resort your best bet concerning new m/b is to buy a second hand or even new identical replacement one from ebay. This will be certain to fit your system and be compatible with it. You may have the opportunity to get a CPU upgrade.

How to tell if fuel line is frozen starter turns but doesnt crank engine

in extremely cold weather, you may need an engine block heater or lighter weight oil. you can verify that the gas is flowing if you disconnect the main gas line to the injector/carberator, attempt crank, and see whether fuel squirts out or not. if its cold enough to freeze gasoline, it could be cold enough to freeze oil, anyway

Installed new motherboard and now the fan is noisy

two things. this fan can be a high rpm fan and there is nothign you can do about it.

the other thing could be the motherboard options. some motherboards by default don't throttle the fan unless you tell them to. If you go into the BIOS (read the manual) and look for the fan control system you can enable the fan speed control to be auto or some call it cool and quiet. this will throttle the fan down unless the higher speed it needed.

I don't know technical terms but there is a 4screw x that holds the sink to the mother board just to the right of the x is a small square over a chip is the square super to have a pad on it or no pad and...

Let me see if I can decipher what you have stated killa_klowns, and offer a solution.

1) The Processor has a Heatsink on it, or a Heatsink/Fan combo. Depends on what the computer manufacturer designer wanted to implement.

{Some computers have a Heatsink/Fan combo sitting on the Processor.
Other computers just have a Heatsink sitting on the Processor, and air is provided by a Front computer case fan pushing air through a plastic cover onto the Heatsink}

Typical design for a Heatsink/Fan combo (Stock design. LGA 775 processor socket. Also, not a gamer type of rig),

Photos showing typical Intel Pentium 4 processors. Shows the top of the Processor's case that the Heatsink sits on,

Where the headings state > Specifications - Pictures (5) - CPU ID (1) - Comments (15),

Thermal Paste should be used on the top of a Processor's case.
If there is a Thermal Pad, take it off, and fly it at the cat.
They're JUNK!

[ Always Thoroughly clean the top of a Processor's case, and the bottom of the Heatsink, before applying fresh new Thermal Paste. Same thing for every chipset.

> Observe Anti-Static Precautions A Processor is the most susceptible hardware component to Static shock.

Use a plastic scraper to clean the top of the Processor's case, and the bottom of the Heatsink.
I use an old credit card.

Then use Q-tips dipped in Isopropyl Alcohol (Rubbing alcohol) to clean the top of the Processor's case, and the bottom of the Heatsink.
May take several Q-tips dipped in alcohol. Usually a gooey mess.

CAUTION!!
Isopropyl Alcohol is EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE!
Use in a Well ventilated area with No sparks or flames present ]

The next chipset in line to use a Heatsink is a Northbridge chipset.
Termed Northbridge, for one, because in relation to how it is sitting on the motherboard, it is to the North of the motherboard.

On the motherboard the Northridge chip sits below the Processor.

The Northbridge chip may, or may Not have clips which hold the Heatsink on.
When no clips are used, > Thermal Glue is used to hold the Heatsink on.

{The motherboard chipset is the Northbridge chip, and the Southbridge chip.
Note* This info does Not apply to motherboards that support the Intel Core i3, i5, i7, or i9 processors}

The Super I/O chipset does Not use a heatsink.

Tell me what the motherboard manufacturer name, and Model Number is, and I can give you more detailed info about that motherboard.

try replacing all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your motherboard to hard drive
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?

The fan not working

Hi,

The CPU Fans, once they stop, you should only replace the entire FAN assembly, as it cant be serviced individually..The coil present in the mtor should have burned, this is the common cause for the fan failure

This heatsink & fan assembly can be bought for your system from the below link

http://www.skyline-eng.com/index.cfm

Under the window: Search by Machine click the dropdown menue & choose your system
Most CPU fans come with the heatsink. Try not to buy a fan that comes with a grill over it. That slows the fan down & makes the fan work harder.
Please leave me coment,if you need further assistance

Intel D865GVHZ (Gateway Hazelton) motherboard system cooling fan

This fan error message shows up when the CPU fan is not plugged into the CPU FAN plug on the motherboard. The Intel D865GVHZ
motherboard has a total of 4-fan plugs so it is easy to plug the CPU fan into one of the other fan plugs that is not marked CPU FAN on the motherboard.

BIOS is not corrupted. yo download the wrong BIOS. either for the worng machine (I do think so-twice?). or you download the earlier version.
nothing you can do.
go to ebay or criglist see if any body is selling the same motherboard that works.
get it and replace the BIOS chip, you don't nee to replace the whole motherboard. just the BIOS chip.
