Clothes soaking wet after washer is done

There is either a problem with the drain or spin cycle. Before the spin cycly starts, ensure that the water drains fully. If it does, then it may either be the belt slipping or the timer malfunctioning. If there is water in the tub when it starts spinning, then you have a blockage in the drain line.

I have had my Kenmore 600 dryer serviced twice. Today, a thermostat was replaced. The timer doesn't advance, the clothes won't dry and water is leaking from the duct. Is there a problem with this model?

I don't see a lot of complaints from this model. There can be some moister
from the dryer, but not water coming out of the duct, clean the rear duct of the dryer to the outside vent to make sure you have full air flow and so you don't cause a fire if it is full of lint. Then check your washer, are the clothes real wet after the cycle is done, they should not be that wet after they spin,
if it was me I would spin them twice or see if there is a option to spin longer if they seem wet.

the reason the clothes are wet is the washer is not shifting to high spin, does the washer have a speed switch(normal wash spin, high wash spin)if its not the speed switch than the clutch is bad,how old is the washer?mike

Soaking wet clothes

Burly Bob,

Is this the same model as listed by the previous poster? If so, does the washer ATTEMPT to go into the spin cycle? That is, does the timer advance to spin cycle properly, and can you hear the transmission or drive motor engage?
