Problem for Magellan Maestro? 4040 GPS Receiver
Magellan 4250 reset
i was asked to reset my 4250 after failure to download update. After reset, my computer will not find the gps and the gps will go no furthure than the intro blue screen. no idea what to do next.

I had the same problem. Is your GPS still stuck at the blue screen? Perhaps I can help. Please email me the detailed steps you have taken until you got stuck. My email is kazi at hotmail dot com.

- I had the same problem. I called Magellan, and they will try to walk you through the reset process. It did not work, so I only have to pay for the FedEx shipping to get it repaired. They are not requiring a any proof of purchase, I bought it in May. I was a little upset, but the turn around time is 5 - 7 days and they will install the 2008/2009 Map Update. I also have a Garmin, but really like the Magellan features and the chime when it is time to turn. I have a Maestro 4250.- Guest
