GE Profile Advantium 120 Oven
Model # SCA1000HCC 04
We have manually reset the unit, still no joy.
Everything appears to work fine, clock, programming, etc. but won't cook. Nothing happens on micro express or regular cook start. A/V repair tech by trade, any advice? Does this sound like a microcontroller issue? If anyone has a service manul for this it would be a godsend...
No need to scan now...
We got
the service manual for this model and have uploaded it to our
site here to help you.
You will need the free
Acrobat Reader
to view or print it in case you don't have it.
I'm suspecting the keypad or a door switch or switch mount issue.
Also, you can usually find
helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full
model number here.
We're
happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your
thoughtful rating of our answer.

Usually answered in minutes!
"When you hit Start to cook, do the inside light and turntable come on?"
No, there is simply no response from the start button.
"Any unusual noises? Is it louder or quieter than usual?"
There are no noises at all.
"There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components."
Awesome!
"If you can scan (at 150-300dpi) the "schematic" page form that and e-mail it to me (and remind me of your full model number) I can help you better."
I should be able to get at this in the next day or two. Once I get the schem I'll can the page for you.

Any unusual noises? Is
it louder or quieter than usual?
These answers will help
me judge whether it's in the high voltage
section (magnetron, transformer, or diode) or the control section
(door switch or control board relay or connection).
There
should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit
behind the
control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is
very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.
At
our Web site, we have a video
available showing how to remove a typical
over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.
If you can scan (at 150-300dpi) the "schematic" page form that and e-mail it to me (and remind me of your full model number) I can help you better.
