My HP laptop clock resetting to two hours earlier than I set it

I had a Wolf 30F wall oven with a similar problem
after power outage. It wouldnt stop beeping with error message related
to temperature control. My solution was to turn power of at circuit
panel, then reset by pressing and holding the clear button for 5
seconds.

Also note: in my case I had to close the display
before switching the panel off. When I tried to the reset process with
the panel showing, it wouldn\'t reset.



To reset other
various parts of the control panel Instructions said:



Time-of-Day Clock

Immediately after the oven is installed, set
the 12-hour clock to the current time of day. It may need to be reset
after a prolonged power failure. The clock is visible on the control
panel during all modes. If the upper oven timer is set, the clock will
not be visible in the upper oven control panel display.



SETTING CLOCK

1) Touch CLOCK.

2) Touch number pads to
set current time of day.

3) Touch CLOCK or ENTER to start
clock.



24-HOUR CLOCK

The time-of-day clock can be
changed from a 12-hour clock to a 24-hour clock. After the clock has
been set, touch TEMPERATURE for three seconds, touch CLOCK, and then
touch ENTER. Follow the same sequence to change back to the standard
12-hour clock setting.



Fahrenheit to Celsius

The
oven can be changed from Fahrenheit (°F) temperature to Celsius
(°C).

To get away from default.
Time ( clock ) being reset by Microsoft.

Double click on time ( bottom r/h side of screen )
Click on > Internet Time.
Tick > Automatically synchronize.

Server, select by clicking on the button > time.nist.gov
Click Apply & OK.

After RegScrubXP is installed, click on Misc.. & click on > Update clock from Internet every day instead of every week, click Modify.

You need to change the 'Zone' settings on both; the signal from Boulder, CO can't tell where you are, you have to make the correction locally and then they will track the signal accurately as long as they can receive it.

when you set the alarm make sure that you scroll to the bottom and in the preferences you can choose to make it no minutes before for up to 24 hours. this usually happens when you use the calendar alarm instead of the phones alarm

Take out the batteries, let stand for about 30 sec replace batteries and reset clock, when ask if you want to auto set daylight time "yes", and continue.

You need to reset the microprocessor in the Clock/Radio. to do this you must unplug the Clock/ Radio and remove the battery. Let the Clock/Radio set for at least 1 hour to discharge the microprocessor. You can then reinsert the battery and plug in the Clock/Radio. The functions should return to normal. If you are still having a problem, try changing the battery (CR2430) and letting the Clock/Radio set unplugged for a longer period of time. If all this fails, you can call Emerson customer support at this telephone number 1-800-898-9020 between the hours of 7am-5pm CT and ask them for assistance. -Make sure clock is in radio sync mode. This is in the manual so won't repeat here.
-Press & release SELECT. Clock time numbers should flash
-Press & hold SELECT. It should enter clock settings mode
-Bottom of screen next to moon phase you should see the current time zone. PST after reset
-UP & DOWN will move through time zones.
-Press & release SELECT when done.
-Each time SELECT is pressed will move to a new setting like 12/24 hour etc.
-Press SELECT until clock numbers stop blinking or leave it alone to return to normal mode
-This should also work on the other Oregon Scientific Starck models.

Check on the general set up/ clock, what zone is set and put east, mis or west deppending where are you located, turn on the automatic clock or select a news channel where the decices will check the update time.

Press and hold the "Mode" button for a few seconds until the display flashes. The briefly press the Mode button to cycle through each setting. When you get to the "Zone" setting, press the up button to advance the time zone. Press the mode button repeatedly to finish cycling through the settings.

Done.

Keep pushing the set button until dst shows on the date window then see the clock window it will read on or off press the + button for on or off.
