Question about Sony Ericsson Walkman W810i Cellular Phone

1 Answer

I hear an echo when speaking my Sony Ericsson Walkman W810i

Quite frequently (though not always - maybe 30% of my calls) when speaking on my Sony Ericsson Walkman W810i (using AT&T service), I hear an echo of my voice (which makes it quite difficult to carry on a conversation with someone). Would this typically be a problem with my phone or with the phone service? Is there anything I can do to resolve the problem?

Thank you very much,

Greg

I tried the recording, but that didn't echo at all. It is only phone calls that occasion the echo, and the echo doesn't start until the connection with the other person is actually made. I don't use the phone around any intense electrical (magnetic) device that I'm aware of -- just my laptop. Of course, now that I think of it, we do live across the street from a Television transmission tower, but if that were the cause, wouldn't it affect my calls all of the time instead of just 30% of the time?

Thanks a lot for your help!

    Greg

Well, try to record something onto your mobile and check if the recorded track echos at different instances...If yes, have your mobile speaker checked withthe vendor.. If not, clean up the vicinity of the speaker...

any kind of intense electrical(magnetical) device around may play its part in actuating such trouble tooo. If nothing works, consult your vendor.

Mobile PC connection

I have found the connector at the bottom of my Sony W810i cell phone to be quite sensitive to jarring or motion. I've noticed similar problems with the charger or the handsfree cord too. Super great phone or mp3 playing device though.
