Sound is not working

I had reinstalled XP, but the Sound is not working. Can you tell me how to install it, noting that my PC is not a Brand One.
If this helps, the Mother Board is ESONIC

No sound and no internet connection after clean and reinstall xp pro.

After reinstalling your xp, the next thing to do is install the drivers of your motherboard. the drivers include lan card and sound card drivers. The lan card needs to work so you can explore the internet.. while the sound card needs to work so there will be sounds on your speaker.

If you don't have the drivers,, I can help you get one just tell me the model of your motherboard. and or sound card and lan card..

Hope this help.
Much appreciated if you could rate this help. thanks

After reinstalling my sound did not effect.

Re-Install the drivers from the system disk that came with your computer. If no disk, go to the website and download the drivers for your model computer.

No sound after reinstall window xp

Determine what sound card you have installed and download and install the driver for it. Go to device manager and click on "Sound, video and game controllers" to see what's installed. It will also tell you if the device is not working properly.

Help!

Hi foxy,

If the speakers do not work, check first that audio is not muted, you find audio settings on Control Panel>>Sound and Audio Devices if there is no audio device , that will need that you have to reinstall the drivers.

If your computer is a brand one (eg Dell optiplex 1080, or IBM Activa etc.) then place a request for drivers on the free forum, giving exact model of your computer.

If the computer is no famous brand, or assembled, you will have to note down all the numbers printed on the boards inside the computer.

That is quite complicate, for a regular user it is often faster to buy a new audio card, that start from $10.

A good solution can be buying an external USB audio adapter , that costs $12 : SIIG SoundWave 7.1 Audio Adapter

No sound

Enter your details on this website, download and install the driver

http://www.soundblaster.com/language.asp?sDestUrl=/support/downloads

Make sure that your other drivers are in too.

Right click My Computer
Click Manage
Click Device Manager
Make a note of any devices that appear with a warning symbol and look them up on google. All drivers must be installed after a re-install of Windows for the computer to work correctly.

I installed an update to my computer last night and when i turned it on today it tells me no sound device is installed. I have an HP Pavilion dv6305us Entertainment Notebook PC. It runs on Windows Vista....

Tell your PC to scan for hardware changes, and see if it will "discover" your sound device.
If it does, great, if it doesn't, reinstall the sound drivers.

If none of that works, do a system restore to just before the update you installed.
And remember not to install that update again.
You may also want to check the MS Knowledge Base to see if they have any special notes on the last update you installed. Just do a search on the update that was installed (you'll find it in the add / remove programs list).

Install Sound and Graphic Drivers

i'm guessing u don't have the software for these drivers, for that you can log onto your motherboard and/or devices' site and download the driver software, or you can log onto http://www.download.com to download drivers' software if u can't find them on their site or can't find their site.
