Samsung model SR-L38NMB refrigerator

My refrigerator started making a low ticking noise on the bottom freezer, I turned it off left in off for a while and turned in on again. It started and ran for aprox 5 seconds and cut off and the indicator light number six on the panel started flashing, its been like this ever since. I tried disconecting it from the mais plug and plaging it back on and it does the same think. What is the problem? the fans come on, compressor comes on and everything seems to work for those few seconds before it cuts off. Help!!

Re: Samsung model SR-L38NMB refrigerator

That problem very likely is the control board. there is another brand of fridge in S.AFRICA THAT DOES THE EXACT THING OF WHICH THE BOARD HAS TO BE CHANGED.

I know that my fridge freezer is get old but it is still good except of the notice it make is now very load could it be the compressor. And if it is can it be sorted

There are a couple of reasons it could be. If the freezer has a fan unit the fan may need tightening or the bearing is shot, or the compressor is low on gas and making the unit to work harder, hence the seemingly louder noise.

Hi I have a samsung SR-L38NMB no frost cooltech dynamic first the fridge went off and the number 5 flashed had the pc board replaced now number 3 and 4 flashes.

We found that the problem was the sensor that regulates the evaporator flap. Replace that and it should cure the problem. Each light represents a certain sensor in the fridge, if that sensor isn't working, the according light will flash

I have profile, stainless steel, freezer at bottom. It is making a ticking noise like a time bomb.

About the only thing turning when the compressor is off, is the automatic defrost timer or in the ice maker. If you can, turn off the icemaker to eliminate it; most have a sensor wire that can be lifted to disable it temporarily. If the ticking is then still present, the only assembly left would be the defrost timer.

Samsung Cooltech fridge - type SR-52NXA - when working very strange noise coming from the fridge. The "pole" from air mixing flow system is not turning/spinning

Yes, I had this problem. $85 visit from a very condescending repair man located a piece of old hard cheese that had become wedged in and stopped the thing from turning - the noise had been terrible. Fixed in 2 minutes - embarrassment lasted much longer.
