Question about Macromedia RoboInfo 5.0 (pff050100nd)

1 Answer

RoboInfo 5.0.2 I posted the problems below the other day and you asked me if I did the updates from the Adobe site. I did do the update prior to sending you the original email and before I sent this email I tried the update again, but I am still having the same problem. You also asked if my drop downs and pop-ups were in the same folder as the project and the answer is yes. I really appreciate you taking the time to try to help me. Problem:posted by bbmickey92 on Mar 13, 2007Report abuse I have created several projects in RoboInfo and I have just encountered this problem and I am not sure how to fix it. I have several drop downs that I use within my projects as well as pop ups. When I am in RoboInfo and go to view page I can view the drop downs and pop ups however, when I generate the project I am not able to view the pop ups or drop downs. When the projects are published both pop ups and drop downs seem to work with the exception of one of my them. I am also not able to delete any of the URLS in my projects that I am not using. Can you please help me with these two problems I am not sure where else to look. Best Solutionposted on Mar 14, 2007 By CoachTim Rank: Master Rating: 76.36%, 88 votes BB Have you checked the Adobe site for product updates/ugrades? Do the update and see if your problems still happen. Just thinking...What is the folder location of the dropdown and popups? are they in the same folder as the project? Get back to me if you still have issues. Thanks Let me know what happens. Good Luck, Tim

Re: RoboInfo 5.0.2

There has to be something in the code that is keeping it from working properly. Considering the end result is viewable something in the middle is pointing the wrong direction. Can you view the source? Check that the file locations match throughout the project. I was also thinking you may uninstall the program, turn off any antivirus programs and spyware programs. Firewall could be left active but, I would shut it down for the install. Reinstall the program and apply any updates Again, let me know what happens. I still checking something else. Tim

A window keeps popping up when using facebook, urging to get new adobe flash program...

If your computer is connected to the internet then let it update.

Most good programs have this facility and do so for a good reason. If there are ant bugs then as a fix for that bug comes out it may be released in a newer version of the program.

Some websites will only work with current versions of flash player and if you dont update you may find issues on some sites.

As flash player is FREE you have nothing to loose and everything to gain.

Let it update.

Dreamweaver CS4 will not install

right click taskbar, click task manager...under process tab look for Updater.exe, click it to highlight it, then at the bottom is a button to 'end task' click it. the program should terminate. if it pops back up then it could be a virus or malware. if that is the malwarebytes anti malware scanner...its free and works very well. or you can search for it and manually delete the offending file....also run ccleaner..its another free software...could be that you just need to have the registry cleaned of old registry settings of programs uninstalled long ago.. let us know how you go on that.

When using acrobat pro 9 it seems to convert files to unreadable

Assuming you have used the same means to successfully convert pdf files in the past, I would tend to suspect some type of malware infection.
Update to the most recent version of Adobe at this link:
Adobe reader has recently been exposed to some vulnerabilities, and it could be corrupted. An update may correct the problem.
Use windows update to ensure that all the current critical updates are installed on your computer.
Make sure you have a current Antivirus program working and are behind a firewall.
Then take a look at what comes and goes...
Is your memory stick only used on secure systems, or is it possible it picked up a bug somwhere?
In any event, I would go to and download their free anti-malware scanner.
Run it on your system to check for malware, and if it detects anything, make a note of what it finds (it will report a log at the end) and report back.
If it runs a clean scan, as does your antivirus scanner, then we can suspect something in the conversion itself.
But this type of symptom could be the result of a myriad of causes, and may take a little time and effort to track down.
Please post back and let me know what you discover...

Office 2007 professional and Adobe 8 Professional problem

Very simple fix. Now and then after an Adobe Acrobat update Office will disable Adobe Acrobat as it is an add on. All you need to do is re-enable Adobe Acrobat. In Office 2007 goto Word Options, Add-ons, and at the bottom of the page is Manage. Click on the down arrow and select Disabled Items and click on GO. Re-enable Acrobat and you should be fine. In Office 2003, goto Help and selects disabled macros and re-enabler Acrobat.

Adobe Acrobat 8 does not integrate with MS Office 2007 programs

Then do a search for 'all files and folders' - search for both Acrobat 6.0 and then Acrobat 7.0, with the options "Search system folders", "Search hidden files and folders" and "Search subfolders" checked. Delete all of those related files found.
You should do this search and delete whenever you uninstall any programs. It will remove lots and lots of leftover junk files and corrupted files taking up room on your hard drive. It will also give you a "clean install" when you reinstall or install an updated program. (Do this ESPECIALLY when updating to a NEW anti-virus programs and “Internet Security Suite” programs such as McAfee or Norton etc.)

Download and install "Registry Mechanic" then do the updates prior to running it and removing anything for the first time. This will get rid of all your current Registry errors, prior to installing or reinstalling.
