Question about Apple 2.16GHz iMac Intel Core 2 Duo DVDRW/CD-RW Desktop PC Mac Desktop
My internal dirve immediatle ejects dvd's and cd's. Not recognising any type, either media or blank. I need to upgrade to Leopard and need the drive to do this. Is the drive finished? Any Cheap external alternatives?
Or are there any do it yourself fixes to the problem?. The drive is a :
PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-K06
thank you in advance
When rebooting press and hold the Alt key until it displays all bootable drives. Now insert your disk. If it works install Leopard from here. If not then your drive is dead or faulty and needs checking or replacing.
All the best
