I need to display a jpg file(16 million colors) using turbo c
can anyone tell me the exact code
is it possible to display jpg file having 16 million colors using turbo c???

    maximum number of colors that can be opened using turbo c/c++ are 262144??? or the dac registers can be programmed in some way to produce 16 million colors...

    plz if anyone knows this.. plz do help me...

I am missing fine details in computer graphics


Hi! I'm a computer-based graphic artist and also a photographer who does digital editing. THe difference between the display settings makes a big difference. Using 32 million colors rather than 16 million is significant for image quality. Also check your display's resolution settings.

How To:

Right-click on the desktop background.
Select "Properties".
Go to "Settings" to find Screen Resolution and Color Settings adjustments.
Clicking the "Advanced" button gives you more options.

One final idea:

Check to see if you are using the correct display adapter (driver), and that it is the most up to date one. A generic, incorrect, or obsolete driver can affect visial performance.

The issue may be due to the file types of the pictures you are sending to the frame. You did not include the model number of the frame, so I can't be sure of the file types it can display but generally, JPG file types enjoy the most compatibility on such devices.

You should determine the file types of the images you are sending to the display. While displaying the slideshow, make a note of an image that displays properly. Look at the the image on your computer and check the file details to learn which file type it is. Play the slideshow on the frame and double check as many as you can against the list / thumbnails on the computer. After a short time, a trend show be visible. You may find that JPG and GIF files display properly, but TIF and others do not.

If you want those pictures to display, you'll have to convert them to one of the file types that does display. If you're finding that only some JPG (or other displayable file type) do not display properly, you'll have to see what is different. Sometimes, very large files may not display correctly, or it may have "too much color" information (they might be a 16 bit graphic or 16 million colors instead of an 8 bit graphic or 256 colors), or some other issue that isn't readily apparent. You can try resizing or converting to yet another format that is supported by the display (GIF for instance).

Went to a camera class a couple of months ago to learn how to use my Nikon D3000. We made a lot of setting changes. Now when I download photos, I get 2 copies -- a jpeg and an nef file. Do I really need...


In some ways the NEF file is the equivalent of a negative, while the JPG file is the equivalent of a print from a negative. However, since digital copies are exact, you don't need the NEF file if you're not going to do anything fancy with the photos. I know people are going to argue with that --- heck, I'm one of them, I shoot only NEFs.

Press the info button to display the information display, then press the i button to put the cursor in the information display. Use the multiselector to highlight the current image quality setting (the topmost item on the right side of the display) and press OK. Select JPG fine and press OK.

For full details, see the "Image Quality and Size" section in the manual (page 50 in my copy).

Some, but not all, .JPG files won't display


I have tried three different digital frames with the same problem. I contacted the Help Desk of one manufacturer. He claimed that tthere are several versions of the .jpg format and some would not work with their frame. I had never heard anyone claim that there are different .jpg types and really doubted his explaination but I can't argue with what I am seeing - some work and some don't. I asked the Help Desk how you could tell the difference. He said the only way is that you have to know what computer program originally created the file. Of course, with thousands of photos, that would be impossible. So... I don't have an answer - just a questionable explaination. Sorry I could not be of more help.

The important stuff here would be the following:
(1) 30-81 kHz horizontal and 56-75 Hz vertical
(2) SyncMaster 730b delivers a maximum of 16.2 million colors
(3) 1280 x 1024 resolution
nVidia card settings should not exceed these monitor parameters. The monitor is not designed for more performance output without increasing liability toward failure. ?. Put your card settings, under the nVidia tab, at the following:
(a) Refresh rate set at 75 Hz
(b) Set colors at 16 million
(c) Set resolution slightly less than 1280 x 1024
It?s quite possible your monitor is at fault, but start with its optimal parameter settings for the display card first. The display card probably exceeds the monitor?s capabilities. Hopefully, this will stabilize your PC session and the blank outs cease if hardware is not faulty

Writing edited jpegs to CD1000


The problem is an incompatibility between Photoshop and Sony JPEG files. (I thought JPEG was supposed to be a standard!) A simple workaround is to use the PictureGear program supplied by Sony. Use its File – Process command to save the Photoshop frames to the CD-R. It is also useful to ensure that the frames are resized to 1600x1200, 1024, 640 etc to eliminate the black border that would otherwise be displayed by the camera. This “feature” can be useful however if you have frames that have important sections at the edge of the frame. This would often be lost when displaying on a TV. Save the frame as, say, 1520 x 1140 and you will always see the full picture! Another possible advantage is to use achieve greater JPEG compression. The CD1000 will accept PictureGear at the largest filesize (10) but one can use compression 8 or even less and get many more frames on a disk. There is a little loss of quality but much less than resizing down to a smaller image size. I would guess that the above will also apply to memory stick.

The encryption and decryption algorithms are based on solving a knapsack problem. The knapsack problem consists of finding a way to select some of the items to be packed such that their sum (the amount of space they take up) exactly equals the knapsack capacity (the target). Formally the knapsack problem is as follows: Given a set S = {a1, a2, ..., an} and a target sum T, where each ai >= 0, is there a selection vector V={v1,v2,...,vn} each of whose elements is 0 or 1, such that (ai*vi) = T. The idea behind Merkle-Hellman scheme is to encode a binary message as a solution to a knapsack problem reducing the cipher text to the target sum obtained by adding terms corresponding to 1s in the plaintext. That is, blocks of plain text are converted to knapsack sums by adding into the sum the terms that match with 1bits in the plaintext as shown below: Plaintext: 1 0 1 0 0 1 Knapsack: 1 2 5 9 20 43 Cipher text: 49 Plaintext: 0 1 1 0 1 0 Knapsack: 1 2 5 9 20 43 Cipher text: 27 The receiver will have to use the cipher text (the target sum) to recover the plaintext. A knapsack problem is said to be ``easy'' if {missing}. The solution for the easy knapsack problem is straightforward, and can be achieved in O(n).Furthermore, there exists a way for transforming an easy knapsack set S into a non-easy knapsack H simply by multiplying the elements of S by w mod n where w and n are well chosen integers. Formally the terms of H are: hi = (w*si) mod n. For example if S = {1, 2, 4, 9}, w = 15, and n = 17 then H = {15, 13, 9, 6}.
