Question about DXG Technology DXG-572V Digital Camera
Everytime I put the cable into the camera, the camera turns off and if I try putting the cable in and try to turn the camera on, the camera won't turn on. I have gotten around this by taking the memory chip out and putting into another camera and transferring, but with the video all I get is sound and no picture.
I bought this off e-bay and am hoping I didn't get screwed.
The reason the sound plays and not the video after you transfer to computer is not the fault of the camera (probably). you need to update your video players codec to one that supports the file. search internet for a 'AVI codec' for whatever program your trying to play file with and you'll get both video and sound on playback. if it's windows media player 'microsoft.com' has it in their free downloads section.

SAme thing happens to me! I would try three or four different times! I know this is kinda late, but sometimes it helps if you close the flip out screen and then plug it in...crazy but it works!!
