Our Whirlpool Duet GHW9200LQ washer will not always start a cycle when you press the START button, although it does not give any error code. What's wrong?

I also have this problem. I removed the control panel, removed the green start button, put the control back together and pushed the red button on the panel and the washer works again. I just have to replace the start button.

My Whirlpool duet sport makes a terrible noise during spin cycle like drum hitting something or belt slipping. There are no error codes or smell of burning belt. HELP!!

the drum bearings are shot, you need to get them replaced,if the drum is actually hitting the sides if the tub this could be a broken spider thats on the rear of the inner drum that holds the drum on if this comes loose it can cause serious personal injury

My duet washer just stopped spinnig

Your belt is disengaged or broken. You still hear the motor and if you do then it is the belt. Go and open the back panel of the machine and see if you can find out about the belt. Remember to be safe at all times. Good Luck

My whirlpool duet (Model # WFW8400TW02 )washer stopped working. the steel drum is not rotating and clothes are not getting washed. please let me know what could be the problem.. --Ritu

If this has a belt, then the belt may be broken or stretched out. Bad drum bearings can seize up and won't let the drum rotate anymore. A bad door switch can cause the machine not to run.

How to replace the belt on a whirlpool duet washer

To replace the drive belt on a Whirlpool Duet washer, follow these steps:

1. Unplug the washer and remove the rear panel.

2. Place the drive belt on the drive motor pulley with the ribbed side on the drive motor pulley. Leave a one-groove gap between the belt and the end of the pulley.

3. Take both hands and pull straight up on the belt and place on the drum pulley beginning on the left hand side.

4. Hold the belt firmly in place and slowly turn the pulley to the right while holding the belt in place. The belt will eventually align and hold in place on the drum pulley.

NOTE: This may require some effort to get the belt in place.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

What does code F 30 mean on my whirlpool duet steam washer WFW109700VW?

This error relates to the motor drive. Plug off the wall, open up behind, look for broken belt. If the belt is good its the motor brushes. Secure connections to the motor, look for loose wires.....

Good luck

Whirlpool duet broken belt

Hi, Belt Part # 8181670 The rear panel will need to be removed and you can access the belt. Make sure the belt is centered in the middle of the large puley. Once the belt is replaced, plug the washer back in and let it spin for a short period of time to be sure the belt will stay on.
please let me know if I have helped you at all or if I can assist you further.

Thanks
Vic

Belt on whirlpool duet washer ghw9100lw1

This can be a finger buster. I put it on the motor pulley and roll it onto the tub pulley. I have seen others use a large crowbar to slide it over the motor pulley last but that seem risky to me. It is a very tight fit.
