Recently our Bosch Front Loader (WTMC3200) has started to sound like a jet engine (ok, maybe a slight exaggeration) whenever it is in the spin cycle. It is very loud - almost like an amplified version of what it normally sounded like. It's not a balance issue - it happens with large or small loads. We have had this machine for 3 1/2 years, and it gets very heavy use. We are not getting any error messages, but I am wondering if this could be a belt problem? Thanks for any help.
Sounds more like a main drum bearing failure to me.
Get hold of the drum and see if you can feel any up or down or side to side movement, if you can ,then it is the bearings.
Also if you turn the drum by hand, and it feels rough or is noisy, then again, main bearings.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.
This same thing happened to me, after only 1 1/2 yrs of use. It started shaking so much during the spin cycle, it shook off the laundry detergent bottle that was sitting on top (what a mess!). And I was afraid the racket would wake the neighbors! After a month or so of this I started getting occasional E04 error messages which we fixable upon restart, until finally it refused to drain during one cycle. I followed the instructions posted on this site, and sure enough, there was a sock lodged behind the black cap. Now it spins with hardly any noise and doesn't dance across the floor anymore. (It's still not 100% fixed--there is a leak issue as well). Just a heads up that I experienced same thing you are and in my case it was the early warning of a lodged foreign object in the drain.
Hi there!!
I had the same problem with my bosch washer and it turned out to the the weights (they are cracked and broken.) I am currently waiting for my machine to be repaired. This is the second time we have had this repaired, the first being last year. Oh, I have only had my machine for 3 1/2 years so needless to say, I am not too happy with Bosch. I recommend calling them to and getting them to look at it and see if they will cover any costs...I did and they are paying for the parts and labor to get the problem fixed.
