Computer will not power up the power light just keeps flashing

Probably power supply, but you can try a different display monitor, try unplugging the hard drive. You need to see your PC go to the BIOS boot screen to do further testing.

Why width of my display of 17' crt monitor model

The screen resolution probably set incorrectly.
Go to Control Panel - Display - Settings tab and move the Screen resolution slider, try 1024 x 768 resolution first.

Hello sir, i hav LG CRT 15" monitor. After turning on, its LED continuous blinks and power button does not work and displays nothing. so plz suggest me what should be deffect?

Any 15-inch CRT-style monitor should be replaced by a 15-inch or 17-inch LCD-style monitor. You can find "previously-owned" monitors for $30 to $50, which is less than taking your CRT monitor to a TV/video repair-shop for an *attempt* to get it repaired.

My pc (hp dc 7600 sff) giving yellow display during playing games & also not responding to well famous games. I tried my best 4 solving the problem but in vine.

Display Problems tend to be due to a few things. Mainly Hardware, and also software.
I would check the cables from the monitor to the computer. Make sure there are no bent pins. Maybe try a different cable.
Check the settings on the monitor. Maybe reset to default settings.
Check the drivers for the graphic card, that they are the latest ones.
Is the screen always yellow or only when playing games?
Is your DirectX software ok? Maybe re-download and re-install from the Microsoft website.
Does it happen on all games or just certain ones?

I have a Lenovo Thinkcentre A61e that has a display problem. The display is red and I have tried 3 different monitors with all the same results. Any idea why??

This is either a bad video card or the wrong or damaged Video drivers. If the display is red even when the computer first boots up before Windows even starts then it is the video card. If it turns red only after Windows actually starts then it may be the drivers.
1. Check for bent pins inside the video connector on the computer.
2. Check for bad video cable.
3. Remove and reseat the video card (if you have a separate video Card)
4. If the video is built into the system board, you could try to install a new separate video card to get around the problem.

Lenovo ADD2 DVI-D Riser Card display issue

No, not really you just need to move and/or setup any video for the monitor you want to be displayed. You are doing everything right except assigning which folders or files need to be seen on which monitor. all of this can be done within the properties manager for the video. Depending on your system this can be located just about anywhere in the dialouge box. But, you should be able to drag and drop what files you want to display. I this was helpful because you are on the right track. Also visit the Dell tutorial for more information with streaming video to watch and you will be alright after that. If not contact me here.

Good Luck

My acer laptop with windows xp will not allow me to select the optimal resolution for my samsung moniter. How do I fix this?

The Samsung SyncMaster 730b is a 17-inch analog and digital TFT-LCD monitor delivering crisp, clean text and bright, vivid colors. This display offers a 600:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 1280 x 1024 resolution, 160/160 degree viewing angle, scanning frequency of 30-81 kHz horizontal and 56-75 Hz vertical and 0.294mm pixel pitch
The SyncMaster 730b display offers the option of using either a digital or analog interface for viewing images and text. The Digital Video Interface (DVI) ensures a shaper, cleaner image and a more accurate representation of the original video source. Since video starts out digital in a PC graphics card, the digital output is directly interfaced to the digital input of the LCD panel and always provides the optimum quality image. In addition, no adjustments are required with a digital display, even when randomly changing resolutions. Input connectors for this display include 15-pin D-sub and DVI-D. Available in black, the SyncMaster 730b delivers a maximum of 16.2 million colors. The monitor is Windows Plug and Play DDC 2B compatible
The important stuff here would be the following:
(1) 30-81 kHz horizontal and 56-75 Hz vertical
(2) SyncMaster 730b delivers a maximum of 16.2 million colors
(3) 1280 x 1024 resolution
nVidia card settings should not exceed these monitor parameters. The monitor is not designed for more performance output without increasing liability toward failure. ?. Put your card settings, under the nVidia tab, at the following:
(a) Refresh rate set at 75 Hz
(b) Set colors at 16 million
(c) Set resolution slightly less than 1280 x 1024
It?s quite possible your monitor is at fault, but start with its optimal parameter settings for the display card first. The display card probably exceeds the monitor?s capabilities. Hopefully, this will stabilize your PC session and the blank outs cease if hardware is not faulty

My new 19 inch 1952 LG monitor stretched my display picture from what I use to have on my 17 inch. How do I adjust the height to width ratio for a picture that isn't distorted?

Right-click your desktop, click properties
go to 'settings' and select the 19 inch monitor
now change the resolution to the format you want to use.
Set it to something like 1600x1200, or 1024x768

If the monitors works well on a different computer then is either the video card or the video cable try using a different screen and cable. eventually change display settings in windows (from control panel. Put them to lower resolution and connect back your display.

Resolution

You could check your DPI setting in the display, being a large monitor your DPI setting shoul be up around the 75 - 85 Hertz.
To access this
Control Panel --> Display --> Settings --> Advanced --> Monitor and then click the drop down box and see what the DPI is set to and keep trying the different options until it is clear.
Hope this helps.
