The sound on my laptop does not play back through the headset. How do I get that to happen?

hi,
you need to go to control panel, or right click on the little speaker at the bottom right, select playback peripherals, and then select your usb headset as principal (or system playback)...

No sound from the audio when playing back

To work around this behavior, use digital output or analog speakers.

To switch to digital CD playback:

Start Windows Media Player.
On the Tools menu, click Options.
Click the Devices tab, and then click Properties for the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive that you are using for playback.
In the Playback section, click Digital.
Click OK, and then restart the playback.

How do i get sound on my hp pro webcam

Check it exists in Control panel / Sounds,speech etc / Sounds and audio sounds / voice.

If you see anything greyed out then uninstall webcam / re-install driver, Do NOT plug webcam in until driver is loaded.

If you do see the driver listed, ensure you have selected "webcam" for voice recording.

Playback is usually thru your PC speakers.

Hi there,
I suggest that you check and ensure that the correct playback and recording device is selected in the sound properties of your system. Please refer to the steps below as a reference.
1. Click on Start > Control Panel.
2. In Control Panel click on classic view, located at the side bar.
3. Next double click on ‘Sound’ and go to ‘Playback’ tab.
4. Please ensure that under ‘Playback’ tab; the headset is selected as default device.
5. Next go to ‘Recording’ tab and ensure that the microphone of the headset is selected as default device.
6. Now, try to take a test recording using Sound recorder.
7. Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories > Sound recorder
8. Take a test recording with Sound recording using the microphone of the webcam. Then playback the recording and check whether it was recorded clearly.

Can't hear my sound playback on sound test with skype

After you install Skype and have it operational with you ID . Go to "TOOLS", click on "OPTIONS", nect go to "Audio Settings" and click on it. Make sure both the Microphone and Speaker's are correct Then "make a free test call" .Wait till the voice tells you to record. Then when finished talking waite for the test voice and the test persons voice to insue you audio transmition is work. Then go back to options and test your video.setting. Click on Video Settings and procede to set up you video camera. Also Visit this site to setup video.

Audio on Webcam is distorted - seems to be recording at a slower speed and palying back at normal spped

as a workaround you can use the headset, you just need to configure your messenger again to use the sound from the mic input instead from the webcam.

hey there, what you can do is update your msn messenger to the latest edition and try to re install your sound drivers. this may reslove your problem.

Hi,

Please be informed that any hardware device needs a driver software to run within a PC, and the driver software depends on the Hardware Make/Model and the Operating System software you are using in your PC to operate it.You will get the Driver software of any hardware within the CD provided with the hardware part at the time of its purchase. The hardware may be an entire PC,Laptop,VGA card, sound card, LAN card,webcam,printers,scanners etc.

If you do not have the CD or misplaced it somewhere then you need to download the driver software to get going. Thus you need to know all the above information to get the exact software your PC needs. As you have not mentioned the Model Number of the webcam you are using, I am unable to give you the direct download link.

However you can download the same by just visiting the company website's download section that manufactured the product.
