Question about Televison & Video
The emerson codes are : 0178 , 0179, 0038, 0177, 0280, 0154, 0236, 0463, 0180, 0282. If this doesn't work with your new remote there is always the way that I have done it in the past and that is to use the find the code function on your new remote. It is a pain but can be done and is quite effective. Each remote is slightly different, but for the most part you would hit the set up botton and hold it in until it starts flashing then hit the T.V. Button and then hit the first code it tells you to hit and then hit the power switch if it doesn't turn off your T.V. then you hit the increment button up, (this is different for each remote so it is important to follow the instruction manual on this part) You bassically keep hitting the incriment button until your code comes up and then it will turn off your t.v.! Then your done. Note: It may take up to 400 pushes of the increment button, but it will work.
