Question about Carrier 38CKC042 Air Conditioner
I have a RUUD UGDA-075A-CR furnace that was made in March of 84. In the process of home improvement, I want to replace it, and I had a few people come by and size a replacement with a 70,000 btuh, 80% AFUE model.
My worry is that since theres NO information to be found on the existing furnace, I dont know if Im going smaller in output btuh, or if that even matters for the 5000 btu difference.
I just want to ensure it will be the right size. Does anyone know how efficient the old unit will be? The replacement is a goodman furnace model GMH80703AN
Thanks in advance for any help!
What part of the country?
How many square feet in the house?
Single pane glass?
Many factors should be considered by a professional.
However if the old unit worked OK, a new 80% 70,000 unit will most likeley replace a 24 year old 60-70% 75,000 unit.
