Forgot the password

See above, perfect solution. Only thing, universal remotes won't work to fix the problem. You must have an orion remote controller.
A new remote can be ordered from orion. You should find the customer service # on the back of your set. I ordered a new remote ( for item with ship and handling total cost, $15.00)
(only took 4 days to arrive), and after following the above steps tv is back to snuff!

This will probably work for most Orion V-Chips... I figured it out looking at another manufacturer's instructions, on my Orion, turn the volume down to 0, change to a blocked channel (where it asks for V-Chip password), then on the TV (not from the remote) hold the volume down button, and hold the '0' key on the remote for between 2-10 seconds... the screen should unlock and you should have no V-Chip restrictions. You can then use your manual to find out how to set the restrictions you want.

Look in the owners manual as sometimes they give you a backdoor way into resetting or changing the password. then you can go in an turn it off.
