Question about Computers & Internet
My home computer is connected but the laptop does not want to connect. I have folloewd thru with all of the steps that the installation takes me thru. What do I need to do?
If your laptop worked fine before and all you did was disconnect the wireless router, then you may just need to disconnect and reconnect it again. Those equipment is pretty finicky!

If your router has a password, it needs to be typed into the other laptop, also the router may not be giving out enough IP addresses, so go into the router configuration (usually on the computer that can connect to the internet by typing 188.8.131.52, or 2.1 or something similar usually ending in .1 , into the address bar (where the www. goes) in internet explorer. Explore those settings a little, be sure to disable anything you see requiring security or and kind of filtering (wether it be IP mac address, etc)
Also, make sure that your laptop can connect with the router in the first place. If it can't then there could be an issue with the laptop, like you could have a wireless N router, and your laptop may only have a wireless A card (which wouldn't usually work).
I hope this helps somewhat.
Stay spicy and happy lappying :)
